THE 8th NOTE GIVING PROGRAM

Eight percent of all book proceeds fund K–12 tuition-based scholarships for the Lyceum Youth Orchestras Program whose musicians come from 100 schools across the great State of Utah.

The initial goal is to raise $5,000 toward K–12 music scholarships, and begin fulfilling the dreams of the musicians who need a helping hand with tuition.

To realize this goal, we must deliver many, many books into your homes and hearts. This can happen only through your generous spirit.

THE LYCEUM YOUTH ORCHESTRAS

Under the esteemed leadership of Music Director Kayson Brown, the Lyceum Youth Orchestras is comprised of eight ensembles, including the Lyceum Philharmonic whose members have performed with leading artists such as Jackie Evancho, Paul Cardall and Steven Sharp Nelson of The Piano Guys, whose music has reached the top of the Billboard Charts, and whose talents have been recognized by the ‘Best of State’ Awards as Utah’s premiere youth orchestra since 2008.

From Steven Sharp Nelson of The Piano Guys…

“The Lyceum Orchestras Program is an incomparable combination of everything that music is meant to be — joy, refinement, belonging, and fun. It offers kids the kind of opportunities that make music exciting and cool. It provides an environment that isn’t blindly affixed upon purposeless perfection, but rather a more selfless pursuit of excellence. My favorite part of Lyceum is its inherent spirituality. There is a special feeling suggesting a profound development not only of the body and mind, but of the soul.”
